Greg Welty, D.Phil.
Dr. Welty is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Forst Worth, Texas.
His educational degrees include D.Phil., Oriel College, University of Oxford in 2007; M.Phil., Oriel College, University of Oxford, 2000; M.Div., Westminster Theological Seminary, California, 1996; B.A. Philosophy, University of California, Los Angeles, 1993.
He is a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Mansfield, Texas.
His ministry and teaching experience include serving as an Elder, Albert Street Chapel, Oxford, May 2000-March 2003; Stipendiary Lecturer in Philosophy, University of Oxford, October 2000-October 2001; Teaching Assistant, Westminster Theological Seminary in California, Fall terms, 1993-96; Pastor of college/career/young marrieds, Grace Bible Church of Escondido, 1993-98; Deacon, Placerita Baptist Church, Newhall, Calif., 1988-1993.
Among his Publications are a book review of Richard Brian Davis, The Metaphysics of Theism and Modality” in Philosophia Christi; “The Doctrine of God and its Implications for Open Theism,” chapter in The Things Most Surely Believed Among Us: A Compendium of Reformed Baptist Essentials, January 2004; and “A Critical Evaluation of Infant Baptism,” Reformed Baptist Publications, 1997.
He and his wife Jennifer Rose Welty have three sons, James, Nathan, and Jeremy.
