Raymond Perron, Ph.D.


Dr. Perron is a graduate of Toronto Baptist Seminary from which he received the Master of Divinity in 1987 and the Université Laval, Québec, Canada from which he received his Ph.D. in 1993. His dissertation was on Cornelius Van Til’s Apologetics Method. His published writings include his book Plaidoyer pour la foi chrétienne (Pleading for Christian Faith), Publications FTE 1996, as well as articles such as «Watch your Doctrine» in Dear Timothy, ed. By Thomas K. Ascol, Founders Press 2004, and The Presuppositional Dialogue in Reformation Canada, vol. 17, no. 1, 1994.He is an experienced preacher having been asked to speak at a wide variety of conferences including: Sovereign Grace Fellowship, Ontario, Canada, 1991; Pastorale de Dijon, France, 1992 «La Parole de Dieu fait l’oeuvre de Dieu» (The Word of God is doing the Work of God); Université Laval, Québec, Canada, 2004 «Qu’est-ce que le Christianisme» (What Christianity is all about); Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, Québec, Canada, 2004: «La signification théologique de la souffrance» (The Theological Meaning of Suffering) and many other conferences on Preaching, Family, Missions etc.
His teaching experience includes serving as Associate Professor at Faculté de Théologie évangélique de Montréal (since 1994) a branch of Acadia University; Associate Professor at Université Laval 1994-1997;Guest Lecturer at Institut Farel (Montreal) 1988-89; 2005; and Associate Professor at Institut biblique Bérée 1980.

Dr. Perron’s pastoral work includes serving as founding pastor of Église réformée baptiste de la Capitale in Quebec City (1988) as well as Founder and moderator of Association d’églises réformées baptistes du Québec

He has been married to Diane for over 25 years and they have a 20 year old son, Jonathan.
