It’s hard to believe how quickly our tour is passing. Today we continue to travel north, with an emphasis on Baptist history. Our first destination is the village of Moulton and the Carey Baptist Church. Here, William Carey served the Lord, wrestling with a missionary call. The inspiring story of Carey’s perseverance and resulting mission to India has moved many. We will see some artifacts and memorials, then travel to Kettering to visit the church of his friend and lifelong supporter, Andrew Fuller. Under his influence and leadership, missions began in the English speaking world. Much of the spread of the gospel by English-speaking workers may be traced to the events of 1792 when Carey and Fuller were the central figures.
